    Zokora v Emre

The video below contains one of the craziest “tackles” you will ever see and this episode was coming.

In April, Didier Zokora, the former Tottenham midfielder, was outraged after a Super Lig match between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce, as he claimed Emre (previously of Newcastle) had racially abused him.

Zokora said: “Emre and I came face to face during the match. I’ll tell you what he said word for word. He called me: ‘A dirty n*****’.”

Subsequently, Emre was banned for two matches by the Turkish Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) after Trabzonspor filed a civil law suit at an Istanbul court.

The original incident can be seen on this video.

Emre and Zokora came face to face on Sunday night again and the temperature was raised a notch when Zokora refused to shake Emre’s hand after the two teams lined up pre match.

The Ivory Coast midfielder then took out his retribution with one of the most painful challenges you will ever see just before the break with Trabzonspor 2-1 down, in a match they would go on to lose 3-1.

Quite how the referee only deemed this a yellow card is beyond comprehension but difficult to blame Zokora for wanting to knock seven bells out of Emre.

But frankly, Zokora should be ****ed up as well for a challenge like that..........retrospective action.
Ref should get suspended as well considering he had a better view than anyone.

That'll probably be slight contact compared to Fener v Galatasaray next weekend in the title decider! Trying to get a mate to go but he's not got the balls.

Are you serious? He gets racially abused, Emre gets JUST a 2 game ban.. He got retribution his own way rightly or wrongly Emre deserved a good booting for it.

                      In your mind..

                      Emre

                      - A kick in the bollocks

                      Zakora

                      - Racially abused
                      - Broken leg

                      That's nice and fair.

There is no excuse for that tackle. The punnishment for racial abuse is a totally different issue. Whatever it is, it shouldn't include violence.

I agree with Robbie-9-Fowler, I fully endorse what Zokora did. If I were in his shoes I'd probably have done something similar. 100% deserved.

I think the fact that they had to file a civil law suit before any action was taken is just as shocking.
