This Oscar a bit special then? He seems to have come from nowhere to being a £25m player. I'd never even heard of him until the Daily Heil linked Spurs with him. Stats look good. 20 goals and 20 assist in 80 games and 6 caps already at only 20, which is impressive.

Everyone seems to be certain he's going to be the next big thing and are crying over us being interesting in Allen, when there's nothing to suggest he's any more suited to playing in the EPL than the Welsh Iniesta!

I have to admit I am slightly jealous of Chelsea's activity ths summer, the gangster's been playing too much footie manager!

He maybe but don't look at his Brazil caps as proof - its well known that they cap as many promising players as possible to ensure they don't go on to play for another country. Granted 6 is greater than 1 but the point is valid when talking about a 20-year old Brazilian.

Although at the time under H&G when we were skint, Tuncay might have been an okay signing for half a season. He was my preference over Heskey anyway.

The theory i'm starting to hear, and i expect to gather pace knowing how twitter etc works, is that these players are being bought in preparation for the future (when he's ready) arrival of Guardiola.
