Wow.. I don't know what's more impressive/shocking the bid or the rejection.

Salomon Kalou is back on Arsenal's wish-list.

The 26-year-old forward, a free agent now his Chelsea contract has expired, had talks about a cross-London switch in January and a free transfer could now be on the cards.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the Ivory Coast international, who is keen on a move to the Emirates if it means more regular football, but has also been linked with Liverpool and German side Schalke.

However, Wenger wants to carry on with a summer clear-out designed to slash the club's wage bill before committing to a player who could command £70,000-a-week.

On a free, we should defo be looking at kalou. Now the diggler has gone we need the centre forward (he's not a striker) who is willing to do the donkey work out wide when required and kalou is just that. Young, free and pretty decent footballing ability......snap him up

Arsenal have slapped a £30 million price tag on striker Robin van Persie.

The Dutch striker has so far failed to agree an extension to his current deal which has just one season left.

The club are willing to make Van Persie the highest earner in the club’s history with an offer close to £130,000-a-week.

But Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood *admitted that if *another club offers Van Persie £250,000 a week, then *Arsenal would not be able to compete.

Arsenal have not given up hope of keeping their captain, but if he insists on leaving the price will be high.

But there is also a question mark about the *future of Theo Walcott. The England winger also has one-year left on his contract but talks about a new deal have reached deadlock.

The two parties are still some distance from agreement and Walcott could be on the move in the summer.

Why do clubs have to "slap" a price tag on a player. Why don't they just put or place it on?
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

He'll probably go for closer to £25m

The theory is that slapping it on makes the buying club think twice about swooping.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Or he could just sit it out for another 12 months and sign for free with a fat sign on bonus. He makes an absolute packet negating wages he could have earned and the club are happy to pay it to save themselves an additional £20m in a transfer fee

Chelsea have included two key Poland national team players on their close-season recruitment list. The club are interested in both Robert Lewandowski and Lukasz Piszczek as Roman Abramovich continues his overhaul of the Champions League-winning squad.

France international Yann M'Vila claims he would be interested in moving to the Premier League and joining Arsenal in the summer.

M'Vila is expected to leave current club Rennes during the transfer window, although a decision on his future is not expected to be made until after Euro 2012.

He has been a long-term target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, and has also been linked with Manchester City and Inter Milan.
The midfielder is likely to command a fee upwards of £17million and he admits he would be prepared to head to the Emirates Stadium.

"I have heard Arsenal are interested in me," M'Vila is quoted by the Daily Star Sunday.

"I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.

"I don't know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal."
