Thank **** for that. If it keeps him away from us then I'm happy.

I wouldn't have minded him, not for that price but he looked a lot more of a threat toward the end of last season.

Can't say I'm too keen on the lad. Maybe at a £4m punt but £10m is taking the piss.

Forgetting hindsight etc, but I would rather spunk £10m on Moses than £20m on Downing.

You'd rather spunk your load on Moses than Downing

David Silva will snub Real Madrid by signing a new contract with Manchester City.

City sources have confirmed the club are in talks with Silva's camp with the Spain winger, who has entered the last two years of his Blues deal, and they want to tie him to the Etihad with a new five-year contract.

Silva, 26, says he is happy at City , despite interest from Real, and is prepared to commit his future to Roberto Mancini's side.

The former Valencia star will be well rewarded and his new agreement will be worth a reported £200,000-a-week.

It all started to go wrong with his own goal in his debut for Madrid. Actually, it was probably the injury that preceded it.

Not the greatest debut. And I think he'd been out for a year despite signing for Madrid the season before.

Didn't he get set off later in the game?!

A three year deal is just plain ****ing daft.

I can't imagine anyone else offering anything more than a pay-as-you-play deal, so it's not as if Stoke were competing with anybody.

A tad suspect that one for me. Or it's just Stoke who are thick as ****.

                                Boro you mean, Mr Muddled?

Three years is completely ****ing daft. He won't make 50 appearances for them.
