I have to admit, I read that as "Lampard walks out".
That rug really tied the room together.

That's Colchester and Norwich he has walked out on now obviously hated by Ipswich anyway so he might want to give the Anglia/Essex borders a wide birth for a while

The bloke is as loyal as a thing that isn't loyal*.

He did the same at Colchester, and I think he did the same at Wycombe. He will drop Villa too when ever someone comes to turn his head.

Apparently it's a clause he had in his contract which stated if a bigger club came in for him, they'd let him speak to them. Norwich, because they finished above them this season, didn't consider Villa to be a bigger club and refused permission.

Villa are clearly a bigger team than Norwich, although a 'Bigger' club clause is a little vague. It might be on league position, which to be fair, if that was the case, Norwich probably were within their rights to refuse.

If it were league position, it wouldn't be a bigger club clause really.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
