Italy have got no chance. Poor, poor side.

But whoever researched that article is wrong.

        Record at the Euro's:

Won it once at home in 1968 and only reached to semi's since then.

We should have won it in 2000 but contrived to give away the lead to France in injury time.

Oh no... Now Corluka doubtful for the Ireland game...Left training earlier and in pain, looks like calf strain too euro2012.jutarnji.hr/nova-glavobolj…

sorry, it's harmstring actually. Will see a specialist tomorrow. Bilic plays it down, says 'It's not that bad, we hope everything will be OK

If Corluka is out for Ireland, that would be the biggest blow so far. He's the only thing that's holding that defence together.

Corluka injured today - big blow for Croatia if he doesn't get back, basically the only defender organizing anything there! Not happy I bet on them ahead of Italy right now

That's a vast deal better than the usual nonsense between the two, that even actually qualifies as "banter".

Bizarrely I'm actually quietly confident about Ireland's chances in this group. Massive underdogs of course, and on paper the side isn't great but who cares about that. At the very least we'll get to have a lot of fun
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
              Mine angry and defrauded young?

I know alot of people over there at moment. Mate text me last night said that everything was great Irish & Croatian fans having the craic & then crowd of Polish hooligans appeared. Major of Poznan said that it was an organised fight between Lech Poznan fans and someone else, something to that extent anyways.

Mate said that the riot police were literally just battering everyone, women too. Anyone with a jersey got smashed. Heavy handed to say the least. They've clearly tried to play it down, but mate said it was scary stuff. There was 47000 people in the main sq!!! Recipe for disaster IMO. But apparently was brilliant up to that point.

I'm going tonight, flying to Munich and then driving to Poznan, hope all that **** died down by then.
