Not to mention he's the ultimate ego signing for a club like City who are still desperate to be taken seriously.

You've been well conditioned by FSG. Messi is available in the summer... ah wait, he's in his thirties, nervermind.

Well yes. £200m and no potential resale value. It's got to be a no.
        Are we winning?

+ The commercial side of it.

He's just a phenomenon. It'll genuinely be a huge regret for me if I don't ever see him play live.

The commercial upside he'd bring would far outweigh the cost of signing him.

            It's literally a no brainer.

As if you would buy Messi with half an eye on the resale value
              *Except Michael, who died.

One caveat would be his age and whether him coming in stops De Bruyne progressing.

Actually, would be great if it did and we could get De Bruyne.

I was told a rumour about some crazy off-field stuff about KdB that means he'll be looking for a way out next summer. I found it all quite difficult to believe tbh. Stuff about a protection racket involving this local scumbag
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I've heard the honey trap rumour on him but not this one

Nah nor me on that one, the police really want to do him, so I'd be extremely doubtful he'd go that far up the food chain.

My son would ditch Liverpool in a heartbeat if Messi moved to City
                              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

                                Slight detour on the topic...

How much do you tend to spend on LFC for you and your son / family? The odd replica shirt, or anything more (or less)?

For me personally, my LFC spend is just about zero most years. But I don't have kids, and on the rare occasion I go to games, I'm sorted out for a ticket by folk on here. I think I bought my nephew some LFC Top Trumps last Christmas. Did a stadium tour last time I went to Anfield. That's about it.

I haven't bought a replica shirt since the days of Torres. And I don't pay for a sports TV subscription.
                                Oh I don't know.
