Not to mention he's the ultimate ego signing for a club like City who are still desperate to be taken seriously.

You've been well conditioned by FSG. Messi is available in the summer... ah wait, he's in his thirties, nervermind.Originally posted by Fredo View PostMessi is 30 and soon to be 31, so I don't think it would gave made great financial sense to spend £200m on a player who's not in his prime anymore, even by City's standard.

+ The commercial side of it.Originally posted by Alex View PostHe is literally the best player on the planet. £200m for a player that can instantly make you a Champions League contender is value in today's market where a similarly aged Siggurdson is worth £50m.
He's just a phenomenon. It'll genuinely be a huge regret for me if I don't ever see him play live.Vive la France

One caveat would be his age and whether him coming in stops De Bruyne progressing.
Actually, would be great if it did and we could get De Bruyne.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I've heard the honey trap rumour on him but not this oneOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI was told a rumour about some crazy off-field stuff about KdB that means he'll be looking for a way out next summer. I found it all quite difficult to believe tbh. Stuff about a protection racket involving this local scumbag
I make no apologies, this is me

It's literally a no brainer.

Slight detour on the topic...Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostMy son would ditch Liverpool in a heartbeat if Messi moved to City
How much do you tend to spend on LFC for you and your son / family? The odd replica shirt, or anything more (or less)?
For me personally, my LFC spend is just about zero most years. But I don't have kids, and on the rare occasion I go to games, I'm sorted out for a ticket by folk on here. I think I bought my nephew some LFC Top Trumps last Christmas. Did a stadium tour last time I went to Anfield. That's about it.
I haven't bought a replica shirt since the days of Torres. And I don't pay for a sports TV subscription.Oh I don't know.
