Mad thread - Barca were such a well run club and once they lost Neymar things spiralled from there. Their debt would be in the top 10 clubs revenue globally (if not debt). That shows the scale of how bad they let things go. I genuinely used to admire them - their philosophy, no sponsors, UNICEF, their ability to produce from the academy (although they broke laws there also going after foreign kids).......now they are an absolute mess. Real M can’t be far behind them or Juve.
By trying to stay ahead of City, PSG, Chelsea etc and their bottomless pots of money they have ****ed themselves. I’d love us to spend more and buy......but there are fine margins to this

I hate Messi with a passion. He's taken Barca to the brink of bankruptcy and still negotiates a high wage that they just can't sanction. It's ****ing madness. The greedy cunt must've earned in excess of £100m from Barca and the conversation should've been, what are you allowed to pay me to stay within the FFP rules? And not to negotiate a salary that PSG would obviously match but that Barca could never afford
Absolutely soulless attitude

Two parties though Norb's, they were willing payers, they even made up awards for him so he could win and get more cash. Gravy train springs to mind.Originally posted by Norbs View PostI hate Messi with a passion. After all the tapping up they've done over the years, I'm pissing myself at the position the find themselves in.I make no apologies, this is me

Yeah, I'm quite happy at their plight, but just trying to look at it from the mentality that Messi has towards themOriginally posted by Deano View PostTwo parties though Norb's, they were willing payers, they even made up awards for him so he could win and get more cash. We can't ever be following that model, it's not sustainable and I completely support what our club is doing.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostMad thread - Barca were such a well run club and once they lost Neymar things spiralled from there. City's model is sustainable, as I think they will offset their big money spending by selling, and possibly Chelsea's to an extent, but PSG's isn't and they will be exploding at some point down the line. Are we winning?

City's model is sustainable because it'll be offset by UAE sponsorship. That bull**** Pep came out with yesterday about selling/loaning young/academy players brought in £60m is bull****. They didn't.Originally posted by Fredo View PostWe can't ever be following that model, it's not sustainable and I completely support what our club is doing.

People were so focused on hating Ronaldo that they forgot how much of an absolute tyrant Messi is.
