Well, the opinion in Germany is as such:Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIs Joachim Loew a good manager or just lucky that this generation of players has come through for him?
Whats the opinion in Deutschland sean?
Low is a great coach, however it's all the people around him that work ****ing hard as nails. He gets individual reports on every player, from medical to whatever, and he's the one who uses the (stupidly detailed) information he gets to perfection, which is why he's held in high regard. He knows how to use the wealth of information to get the best out of his players.
My own opinion is that he definitely has a brilliant national backbone, it's not just him, it's the whole of German football. The fantastic (and I mean, really REALLY fantastic) youth coaching and youth setup and youth facilities and promotion we have in this country. It's really geared towards getting the best young talents, giving them the best training and facilities. But it's not just football, this goes for pretty much all sports in Germany, they have incredible facilities and they really really take it seriously. There's no room for error. Every coach, from volleyball coaches, handball, cycling, they're fanatical. I recall when I was a swimmer, our coach ****ing pushed us to ****, made us go outside swimming in March/April in the ice-cold rain, **** like that...
Whilst I was typing that, we SCORED and I screamed like a mother****er and went upstairs screaming at the ladies watching the game (can't watch footie with the ladies, impossible)

Cheers Sean. Interesting stuff, I suppose its about making the best use of the data provided to you and its translation into practicality.
I like Germany, always have. Their football is so effective, direct and purposeful. And I love the place too, I generally root for them when Scotland aren't about. So every time nowadays really.
