The German interview guy just interviewing Gomez:
"So, how do you feel after you got a right bollocking in the game against Portugal, even though you scored the winner, was it an extra incentive?"
"Well, I'm always fired up, but it was definitely an incentive in that I got 3 days complete terror for underperforming in the first game against Portugal. And I'm very happy that the people who matter, the manager and my team mates kept believing in me."
See that? He got ****ing pelted by people for not performing, even though he scored the ****ing winner. That's the difference.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Dutch are technically out yet. If they beat Portugal and Germany beat Denmark, then the head to head deciders all cancel each other out, which means that the next criteria is goal difference and then a whole host of increasingly ridiculous options.

Indeed. Guys on't telly also mentioned it, they're not completely out. Schweinsteiger just on the interview 'We want to beat Denmark first, that's the plan. And that's what we want to do, we don't look anywhere past that game.' If only the English were like the Germans.

Isnt it based on head to head so if the dane lose to the germans they stay on 3pts but if the dutch beat the portugese then they both have 3pts but denmark beat the netherlands 2 1 so they would go through.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
