Tried to invade the pitch, apparently.
    Football without Origi is nothing

Perhaps UEFA should start disciplinary procedures against the fans that are kicking the **** out of each other. And not the ones in the street, the ones in the stadium were it's obvious which set of fans they are.

But that's a small minority, innit?

Everyone knows that it's English fans that attack other fans, stab other fans, participate in nazi salutes, throwsbananas onto the pitch and everything else that is wrong with the game of football

It's all Englands fault and to stop it the English fans must be punished!

        UEFA statement June 201

*obviously not a statement from UEFA

              England 1 Sweden 1 (Mellberg 49)

Yes, it doesn't matter that much but none of it does really. It's still silly though.
              Haha

Like I say, it really is pretty arbitrary. I think the idea it becomes an own goal if the last touch followed complete control from the defender is a good one though. Certainly favours awarding to the attacker whilst ruling out your interesting very seriously posited scenario

I think he meant to go near post, but he realises he's too late on it so spins and swipes his foot backward to see if he can catch it. So as others have said, intended but lucky.

Not sure myself whether he meant it, or if he was trying to get a first touch on it to control it then turn and shoot, or do something else and then improvised.

But i certainly don't hold with the argument from certain ex proffessional players that because he immediatley turned his head to look behind him, it means he knew what he was doing, ffs he felt it hit the back of his foot, naturally he would then look behind him to see where the fcuk it went.

tbh, it's all a blur in my mind now.

edit: had a good few looks at it now, and imo he meant it, good bit of improvisation as i said above, obviously he didn't mean it in a way where he ensured the ball would be the wrong side of his body as he ran in, but once he realised where the pass was going...he reacted instinctively.

But it's not a goal i would think other players incapable of scoring, if they found themselves in the exact same position, it's just one of those things, he was in the right place at the exact right time to do what he did with the way the ball came in, but fair play to him, he executed the move nicely.
