Russia with an all-time choke job. No adaptability, nothing. Mental win for the Greeks.

Doubt it'll happen. If they go out it'll be a knock on effect that could screw spain, italy, and a few other countries.

Russia were so poor. Absolutely no urgency in the second half and so wasteful in the first. They deserved to go out, Greece fought hard and wanted it more than the casual Russians.

That's a bit ****ed up isn't it? Where's the incentive to score more goals?

There are only 4 games - I suspect that winning them is enough of an incentive to score most of the time. I imagine the idea is that scoring a hat load in a dead rubber game isn't too influential.

I considered that after I posted. Greece are a **** team though. I was hoping that Arshavin would infuriate Arsenal fans further.

The whole Russian team seems to have adopted Arsharvin's personality - on there day world beaters but struggle to perform consistently especially against inferior opposition.

Obviously Greece are poor but Russia didn't deserve to go through if they couldn't at least draw with them.
