IMO Dempsey would be a good signing. Great attitude,very physcial and never seems to get dominated by CB's. Good technique and was fantastic last season. Fantastic option for the squad IMO.

Dempsey is a good player. If he came to LFC I wouldn't be neither upset, or delighted tbh.

That said, whilst we're all wanking off at the prospect of the next great hope, surely it's about time we added some players who we know will have an impact now?

If Dempsey is priced reasonably, the fact he would raise our profile in the states could mean that in the long run his transfer would pay for itself. So tbh I'm not concerned at the price, only what effect he'd have on our squad.

And my conclusion is that he'd improve it. Are there players out there I'd rather have? Yes of course there is. But I'll probably be able to state that about every transfer target we have.

I have my favourite players and Rodgers and the scouting team have the players they have identified we could make a push for.

All of the same caliber, i.e not good enough to take us on.

Charlie Adam is clearly only good enough to be a squad player, Stewart Downing has been massively massively disappointing. I don't have a problem with Carrol or Henderson, they'll get better each season. Clint Dempsey is a good option, I like him.

Dempsey so not the calibre player we need. Age wise, ability wise he isn't good or young enough. We've already got Henderson and Adam who are both similar players and are both not good enough for regular first team starts and the last thing we need is more squad players!

To be fair Hendo got called up because of injuries, and the current England squad is not exactly full of world beaters, even then hendo has long way to go before he is even considered 3rd or 4th choice.

That said Adam & Henderson are completely different players but i think rev was suggesting all 3 just aren't good enough for our first team. I may like Dempsey but he does have a point IMO.
