please remember that no one is saying kuyt has been rubbish for us. he was definitely a good player for us, and had gone beyond the call of duty many times.
this last year has shown he is no longer the palyer he was, so like any player that is past his best, he needs to be replaced for the good of the team and the club.

dempsey [now] is definitely an improvement on kuyt [now]. anyone who says different is either being nostalgic or is closet fulham fan who doesnt want to see him leave.

But there are other mitigating factors to that, not only the poor use of Kuyt last season and the refusal to play him in the role where he had previously been so successful for us. No only that the enormous difference in playing for a high profile team like us over playing for Fulham. Sorry but this is no improvement and we are likely to pay a lot of money for this.

Based on stats Downing, Adam and Henderson would all be good signings for us.

Or simply doesn't agree and thinks that maybe poor management and use was Kuyt's issue last season.

Dempsey is getting better, Kuyt is getting worse. Stick Kuyt of last year in the Fulham team for instance and he would not have got 17 goals.

not sure i would take a punt on any of them looking at career stats.

Dempsey is 29, he isn't going to get better.
You can't say that and be taken seriously, you have absolutely no idea if that would be the case at all.

Don't think he won't. Such rampant Ayre abuse is just not on with Nicey.

Atleast we know who to blame for any transfers falling through, or if we end paying too much.

Although i think overpaying will be weighing heavily on Ayres mind, so i don't envisage us doing that, but so long as it doesn't skew his judgemnt either, for fear of being seen to overpay.

I'd expect BR to have a big say though tbh.

Likewise, there's absolutely no basis in your statement that he won't get better.

Perhaps then it was poor management for all of those players then?
