we've been involved in some incredibly stupid transfers recently, but signing Downing eclipses Andy Carroll by a significant margin. For such an expensive signing Downing must be the worst signing we've ever made? Aquilani was another stinker. If you're on a football pitch for 90 minutes then doing something shouldn't really be too difficult. It's a reasonable length of time to move about and get a bit involved. Stewart Downing should be ashamed to collect his wages. He's a footballing retard. The sooner we offload this complete waster the better.

Really? Because we're getting rid of three or more massively underperforming players and replacing them with cheaper alternatives who can't be any worse? Plus we'll hopefully have Lucas for a whole season? On that basis we'll still be top half at worst. Well that's YOUR opinion. Suarez is not the most efficient of attackers.

Where do you get this from? That's a leap considering the information we have. Ive seen it said a fair bit around here.

As far as I can tell, we are in fact trying to go the opposite way. We are selling off/releasing players on huge wages, in order to make our operation efficient and streamlined. We had a lot of dead weight (still do) but they seem to be slowly chopping it all out.

What evidence do you have for this inefficiency? Lack of activity in the transfer market? Lack luster preseason so far? I cant think of anything that the club is doing to back your claim up.
