Roy didn't work out here as his football is boring as **** to watch and Liverpool have to force the play against most sides.

With England, no one cares if they're boring as they always are. And England are such a sub standard team now that sitting back is quite acceptable.

People will argue England have a good group of players. Do me a favour. Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney are the only truly world class players we have, and Rooney isn't even match fit and wasn't available for the first two games. Gerrard is class, but he is no longer the force of nature he was.

Not so long back we had players like Owen, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, Cole - all at their peak.

In Euro '96 we had Mcmanaman, Gazza, Shearer, Sheringham, Anderton. A class attacking line up. Likes of Wright, Les Ferdinand and Fowler in reserve. They'd all walk into this side.

As would the likes of those at Italia '90. Lineker, Beardsley, Barnes, Waddle, Gazza, Platt, Walker, Pearce. Top class.

We did have top sides. This side is a million miles from that.
