Bellamy coming out of it well anyway, bood at the start, took some nasty tackles, one that should have been a red apparently, but worked his socks off and got standing ovation from the Stretford End when he went off, so some journo was just saying, said he's written lots about Bellamy, but didn't expect to be saying this about him, that he was actually showing, maybe even epitomising...the oylmpic spirit.

Have you heard the laughable excuses from United fans and MUFC officials? It wasn't Bellamy being booed - they were booing the people who refused to take part in the Mexican wave
I can only assume it was merely a terribly unfortunate coincidence that every boo coincided with Bellamy getting the ball.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Booing people for not mexican waving?!
Oh yeah... of course they were.
Come the start of the season they'll be telling us he didn't get a standing ovation when he came off, and that they were just attempting to get a mexican wave...with clapping?... going, after booing the rest of the crowd into submission.

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

It somehow managed to happen when Richards touched the ball as well.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHave you heard the laughable excuses from United fans and MUFC officials? It wasn't Bellamy being booed - they were booing the people who refused to take part in the Mexican wave

And the cheer came when Cleverly did.

I was there and it was very blatant.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHave you heard the laughable excuses from United fans and MUFC officials? It wasn't Bellamy being booed - they were booing the people who refused to take part in the Mexican wave

Actually enjoyed going though and Great Britain were much better than I thought. I think if they (or in future Wales) can get Allen and Ramsey on the pitch at the same time they will have a very good central midfield. More progressive and tactically interesting than I expected from a majority English team with Pearce at the helm.
Richards still looks dodgy at the back to me.
Senegal were terrifying - flew into everything and all looked massive.
Thought UAE looked technically much better than I thought. No structure to their play though. Suarez showed good movement but was a bit wasteful on the ball. Coates had an odd game - excellent on ground challenges, odd role/positioning, some great passes but some madly wayward ones too."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
