Marsh, you babbling duck, you're too early.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I suppose Roy would be happy if Italy won and then he can claim to have been knocked out of the competition by the European Champions.

I'm not sure I can be bothered watching this game after the way the Spanish conducted themselves against Portugal the other night. Normally I would want Spain to win, but the Italians don't cheat as much so I hope they win.

                  To be precise, premature.

                    That's exactly what he'll say.

"It's no disgrace to be knocked out of this tournament by the winners, we matched their performance and remember - we didn't lose - but were knocked out by the cruel penalty draw"

You can see it now. Italy winning would be hell.

                      Yes, it'll be exactly that.

I said to a German colleague only on Friday how I'd been disappointed Germany lost because I wanted to be able to say England had lost to the team that lost to the team that won it. The more countries between Hodgson and the winners, the better.

I reckon Italy will take it now, they have just gained more and more momentum as the tournament have progressed. Just like 2006, match-fixing scandals, poor pre-tournament displays and all of a sudden in a final!

Plus I still don't think Spain will win 3 in a row, but it's amazing even being in 3 straight finals

Wenger jumping on the Spain are negative bandwagon

Interesting from Wenger on Spain: "betraying their philosophy...originally they wanted possession to attack and win; now a way not to lose."

Not sure Spain will take any notice of Arsene Wenger's criticism of their approach - at least not until Arsenal win a trophy again.

Do find this bandwagon that Spain are "boring/negative" amazing. Would England's fans be bored watching their team play like Spain? No.
