I suppose Roy would be happy if Italy won and then he can claim to have been knocked out of the competition by the European Champions.
I'm not sure I can be bothered watching this game after the way the Spanish conducted themselves against Portugal the other night. Normally I would want Spain to win, but the Italians don't cheat as much so I hope they win.Comment

Yes, it'll be exactly that.
I said to a German colleague only on Friday how I'd been disappointed Germany lost because I wanted to be able to say England had lost to the team that lost to the team that won it. The more countries between Hodgson and the winners, the better..

I reckon Italy will take it now, they have just gained more and more momentum as the tournament have progressed. Just like 2006, match-fixing scandals, poor pre-tournament displays and all of a sudden in a final!
Plus I still don't think Spain will win 3 in a row, but it's amazing even being in 3 straight finals
