he has fluffed his distribution on the few occasions he's been involved in attacks, but agree he's got little space to work in.

Italy have defended quite well actually, but they have been outdone by pace for both goals.

That was fantastic. What a brilliant half of football, really enjoyed it. Loved the way Spain came out of the blocks with high tempo swarming, they are just excellent.

As for the coverage - has Shearer ever said anything insightful that has made you think "I didn't know that..."?

Its ****ing damning that that man has played top class football for such a long time, at such a high level of skill and he doesn't give the viewing public any insight into the tactics or viewpoints of the players in top games - its damning. He's completely boring.
