..so it was good game, eh?

Mate of mine just said this in an email that he sent me:

I was tired and I lost interest in the game. The Spanish had a lot of possession and made the game boring for me.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The press are trying to brain wash us into believing that anti-football is where it's at.

              Exactly mate.

I read something a few days ago (might've been on Est) about how it's almost fashionable to dislike Spain now.

How can anyone get bored of the football that they play? They're incredible.

              Boring indeed.

I don't understand how you can get bored watching them.

If you don't like watching the way they play you're not a football fan.

Spain are a joy to watch. The Bodge and his acolytes in the press would have you believe that 442 is the way too go. FFS spain just won the Euro's playing without established strikers in their starting lineup. No other team has ever done that.

The bodge can take his finders crispy pancake trophy he won when the Titanic was about and shove it.

The person who came out of that final with most credit for me was Iker Casillas. When the final whistle went and they were all jumping about like fannies, Casillas was going to every member of the Italian team commiserating with them. Such a gentlemen in victory and I'm sure it was not lost on the Italians. Also, it came out today that he asked the referee to end the game earlier out of respect for Italy. The fact was Italy played most of the second half with 10 men, through circumstances beyond their control. I've found a whole new respect for Casillas. Truly a great leader and a humble guy.
