Copied from a non football forum I'm on.

"I had the misfortune to meet two members of the Glazer family in a business dinner here in Turin they are involved in Estate Investment with John Elkann who run my club (Juve). One of them, a ginger evil looking monster got very drunk and started to talk **** about Man United, said he was happy you lost the league so he saved money to give to the players and that they take several millions for years out from the club and they will continue to do it because they have high profile members that do the same. I've asked if it was Ferguson he smiled winked to me. Now, I don't know if it's the truth or he just spouting bollocks coz he was pissed but the brother was very nervous and tried to stop him a several time during his show. Then I had enough and told him they are the cancer of the modern football and to get ****ed. He left after a few mins. You should get rid of those people or i fear you will end in a big big trouble, would be a shame for one if not the biggest club in the world. Good luck lads"

It's hard to believe that happened.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Agreed, much as we'd all like it to be so.

Been convinced for a good while that Ferguson is on a backhander from the Glazers and despite his denial I still am

Manchester United reveal details of Chevy shirt deal. It's big. By the time it ends in 2021 United will have banked approximatley $559 m.

Chevy will pay $70.0 million in first season, and an additional 2.1% each season. Additional $18.6 million in fees over next two seasons

Reminder that GM's marketing director resigned after this dela was completed. Blows every other sponsorship deal out of the water.

AON deal is worth £80m over four seasons. This is a ridulously massive increase on that one. Liverpool get £81m from Standard Chratered

GM said marketing chiefJoel Ewanick resigned bcos he didn’t `meet the company’s expectations of an employee.' Day before MU deal announced

We don't even get close to 20m a season from Standard C. We will never see 81m and will be lucky to get half. Because some top, top director agreed a perforamce related payment sponorship. Not been in top 4 or Champions League since they took sponorship over.

IIRC the SC director at an AMG last year said it was close to 7-8m basic.

****ed if we spend (massive wage bill for part timers like Cole, Downing, etc) and ****ed if we don't spend (no UCL).

That Chevy deal is terrible for Chevy. How in the hell did the Scum get it?

The AON deal doesn't end till end of next season and they were in talks about extending.

They were offered this deal and they snapped it up. The bloke doing the offering was then promptly sacked.

                            Shady this one.

The guy must have been a closet united fan and rightly sacked IMO. Thats a crazy amount to offer when they were only getting what £19m a season from AON?

he will probably get a dodgy brown envelope in the post from the glazers, or some worthless manure shares.
