Calciomercato*in Italy claim an exclsuive today and say that Liverpool are back in the hunt for Bologna's Gaston Ramirez, and that a deal isn't too far from being done.
A potential transfer to Southampton has proved too complicated for the clubs to come to any conclusion on and with less than two days left of the transfer window it could now be impossible to sort out. Calciomercato say that's where Liverpool come in.
They previously had several bids rejected for the*Uruguayan*with the highest being €14m, but are now apparently willing to pay a little more. Bologna want €20m all in one payment but that's not likely to happen so they must have a compromise situation already in mind at this stage of the window.
Liverpool have now offered a new idea which would see them take Ramirez on loan for a year and then further the transfer into a permanent deal next summer. The initial loan fee would be €5m and then, depending on*appearances*and achievements, they would pay Bologna a further €10m or €15m to make the deal complete.
Ramirez is keen on a move to the Premier League and had already agreed personal terms with Southampton. He's international team mates with both Suarez and Coates and was one of the few Uruguayan players to have a couple of good*flashes*during the Olympics.*
