BEcause it should be the same set of rules at every level. If it cant be implemented at non league, it should not be used full stop. Just my opinion.

The substitutes rule is very much a different way to apply a rule, not a different rule in itself.
The rule is that the team is permitted to name a list of players who are eligible to act as a substitute. The difference in application is how many names can appear on that list.
Video technology being able to be used, but only at a xyz level, or in xyz competitions is no different for me.
The substitute rule is divided by the Premier League/Football League/Non-League so why is it a massive leap to say that the use of video technology cannot be divided on the same level?Football without Origi is nothing

Pah, what a load of pedantic twaddle. You could easily say it's the same rule - if the ball has crossed the line, it's a goal - and is simply being applied differently.
Or, the fact there are four assistant refs for Champions League, Europa League and European Championships but only two for Premiership matches is an inconsistency that must be stamped out.
The fundamentals of the game remain intact, whether there are four assistants or two, and whether there is goal-line technology or not.
The issue is, does it improve the game or not. Personally, I think having a more reliable way of assessing whether or not a team has scored is probably an improvement..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

It might improve the game But it wont end there. Once people realise there is more money to be made, we will be hit with a barrage of suggestions of where technology can be applied to help improve the game, and fifa, not realising technology is not infallible, and seeing only dollar signs will lap it up. . It will be offsides next, then cards, then replays on contentious decisions.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostThe issue is, does it improve the game or not. Once its implemented, you tend to rely on it. The first tme it goes wrong people will be scratching their arses not knowing how to proceed. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Hawk-Eye has been used in tennis and cricket for 11 years. The video ref was first seen in rugby 16 years ago. It hasn't led to that situation in those sports and given the time frame involved for FIFA to come round to the idea I can hardly see them rushing to adjudicate on all manner of contentious decisionsOriginally posted by Charly View PostIt might improve the game But it wont end there. Certainly I agree with you there. It will change it.Originally posted by Charly View PostIt might improve the game But it wont end there. It'll have some negative effects and some positives.
Football is sh*t and it will stay sh*t.

Who cares? They're even worse sports than football.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postis there any complaints in tennis/cricket/ruggers that the technology is only at the highest level?.
