Nottingham Forest's new owners hope to appoint an "iconic manager" within days and say they have a long-term commitment to bring success.
........... MICK McCarthy has taken a step closer to landing the job of Nottingham Forest manager, after holding positive talks with the club's new owners.

The former Wolves boss will meet the Al-Hasawi family face-to-face for the first time on Monday.

But he has already held lengthy, encouraging discussions with the club officials on the phone, from his holiday in Portugal.

And he could seal his appointment when he returns to the country after this weekend, having agreed to cut short his holiday to enter into further negotiations.

Curbishley is the Owen of football management. Thinks he is far better than he actually is.

I've no issues with Leeds to be honest.

I like Forest - even though they absolutely ****ing detest us - and want them back up here. Get the likes of Wigan ****ed off with Forest, Leeds & Wednesday coming back up - three proper clubs. Love to see them all back to be honest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                              Maybe not Leeds though.

leeds hate the mancs, so thats good.
they overspent and nearly bankrupted their club for a pop at the CL, so thats bad.
