Also, there’s a young Italian who’s very good though I don’t want to say the name ...

I expect to see him play from the off whereas someone on here didn't think he was ready to be a starter for us just yet.

          What do you guys think?

See how pre-season goes then we'll know if he can start for us.

Yeah of course but he's got to be close to a starter if he's playing for Roma & capable of scoring a double vs Inter.

I can't see a manager taking over a team with scoring difficulties, signing a striker and intending him as a backup. I would imagine he is nailed on as one of the front three (injury permitting) at the start of the season. Whether he's 'ready' for that I suppose is yet to be seen.

I would think we will want another goalscoring player (Dempsey maybe) to come in as well.

I'm sure he is, I'm just cautious these days after last summer.

I saw a few people saying on Twitter that Borini definitely counts as homegrown as he spent over 3 years training with Chelsea. So thats good news.

Ha ha. And many other summers mate. One of the pics I saw of Borini playing I saw Konchesky in the background & felt a little sick. It was like 2 people on elevators. One going up & the other down.

Unbelievable to think that 2 summers ago we signed Konchesky. Not just to be a bench warmer but to be in our starting line-up.

I'd defo like to see another goal scorer come in. This TW I don't care about the defence at all. Just the attack needs sorting I feel.
