I think his stock in Italy must be quite high and would not be surprised if we did get a decent offer for him this summer. Depending on what happens with Suarez and who else we bring in, I would be seriously tempted if we had that kind of offer for Borini.

One thing's for sure - he'll be coming back full of confidence after a good tournament.

He scored 2 good goals, but I hardly think that constitutes as a good tournament. He was poor against England, dropped for 2 games and even in the games he scored he was quite quiet for most of the match. As one of the more senior players at the tournament, I’d say his overall performance was decent at best.

That said, he still scored 2 important goals and got better as the tournament progressed, so hopefully that continues in pre-season for us.

I do think we would cash in though if we got an offer of £10m+. I can’t see that happening though and I don’t see why his stock would be so high in Italy after a poor season with us which he spent most of injured. I could only see him making a quick return to Italy in a cut price deal which I doubt we would entertain.

What do people think the future holds for Borini at LFC ?

IMO he's going to find it extremely difficult to get game time with competition in attacking areas from Suarez(hopefully), Sturridge, Coutinho, Aspas, Alberto and possibly Henrikh, Downing may be here next season too plus Sterling and Suso may not be loaned.

The kid is 21 years old.

At 21 Van Persie played his first season at Arsenal and struggled out wide in a 4-3-3 system before getting injured, sounds familiar hey?

Now I'm not suggesting he will be as good as Van Persie but it is still too early to write him off, he still has a lot of learning to do and it will come to him with time.

We could do much worse.
