Borini is more that good enough to be a back up imo.
He'll average a goal every 3 games or so with us, his movement is streets ahead of anyone else at Sunderland (in fact it was streets ahead of most of our players when he joined)
I can clearly remember Hearts away when he was in several great positions only for the final pass to be absolutely woeful, we're miles better than that now.

With the number and type of chances we create we need a mobile front player, Borini can do that centrally or wide in a number of different systems.

Be madness to have him for 1 year when he was plagued by injuries, then loan him for 1 year where he gets loads of games only to sell him when he's ready to feature.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

we bought borini from roma for £10.5m in july 2012.

roma bought borini in some potentially dodgy deal involving some goats and a used scooter, and a fat envelope for an agent or two...

rodgers loves him cos he scored 9 in 12 for them, in the championship.

if we were to keep him he would need to be ready to come on and be ok. there is not much sign that he is decent enough.
we are unlikely to ever have a third choice world beating striker who is content to hardly get much game time.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

In fact I'd rather have Borini than Hernandez

Hernandez is a mile away from top class.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We need to have more players to give us better depth to the squad as it looks like we'll have more games next season than this, I would rather have Borini than Aspas, so unless someone offers us £10m+ for him (which I can't see happening) then I'd keep him. Whoever we look to sign as a replacement is only going to be 3rd choice given the way Suarez and Sturridge have been playing, and they are likely to cost a fair bit. I'd give Borini a chance.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Borini will be back as our third choice back up central striker and as a fill in wide player. He will take the place of Aspas who will leave. Borini will get more game time as a. He is better than Aspas & b. we will have 3 games a week most if the season. This will be his year to show he can make it with us- if he doesn't he will get moved on the season after for reasonable money.

We will also get in a big name winger (like Konoplyanka ) to increase our selection of quality forwards in light of the extra games.

            Mark my words.

Just like all the people who wanted Joe Allen moved on sharpish when they realised the 22 year we got off Swansea for £15m wasn't Yaya ****in Toure.

We aren't PSG/ City/ Chelsea. We have a budget in terms of both transfer fees and wages. We need to develop young players and we have a manager capable of doing that. He sees something in Borini.

Don't forget the excellent goal he scored at Wembley this year.

Or the 9 in 24 he got for Roma as a 20/21 year old. That's in Seria A where goals are hard to come by- especially for a young player who isn't relying on pace/ power.

And In the Italy squad for Euro 2012.

He's just turned 23 - what were Suarez & Sturridge doing at that age?

Whilst I agree with you, to a point. At 23 Luis got 49 goals in 48 games for Ajax.

And Sturridge got 11 in 16 for us.

suarez scored 49 goals in 48 games for ajax in 2009/10 [35 in 33 in the league] and became ajax captain in the same year.

sturridge scored 11 in 16 games for LFC in 2012/13.

So one was scoring goals in the Dutch league, playing for far and away the biggest/ best team, against cannon fodder every week.

And the other turned 23 (like Borini just did) as Chelsea's back-up right winger, off the back of a terrible Olympics representing England, with the media and fans questioning his attitude and it looking like he'd never fulfil his potential. Brendan told him this was his last big club...

                              I wish!

What I'm saying is: Ibrahimivic he ain't, BUT, we can't accommodate that level of player for a third pick striker. What we need for that slot is an up and coming player with the potential to kick on and I think he can fit the bill. Brendog has worked with and I think he shares my view.

Pablo the players you have suggested would probably cost Aspas + Borini + £10m

We have other areas that need investing in.
I'd be willing to spend £10m (not personally, I might need a bank loan) to significantly upgrade our attacking options from the bench. I think we'll need to next year if we're to compete on all fronts. We have a lot more games to play.
