    Theo Walcott

Okay, so there are enough "rumours" around about us being interested in him to warrant his own thread.

Mainly because I wanted to ask how many people realised he wrote children's books? I assumed it was fairly common knowledge, but judging from the reaction when I mentioned it elsewhere, it appears not.

        Haha, good on him.

I would love us to sign him - he has the attribute we really lack, pace. And under BR's tutiledge he can maybe go on to become the forward player he thinks he should be. I can see him playing in a front 3 with Suarez and Borini and being very effective, especially in away games.

All said and done, he only has a year on his contract so we may be able to get hime for a decent fee.

Not his biggest fan but I'd be chuffed just to see a player with pace in our team again.

No issues with him signing for us if the price is right.

Ah yes I'd forgotten about that! How random.

Not convinced on Theo, but he is better than what we have got. Hopefully the potential is there and Rodgers can improve him. If so he'd be an absolute bargain!

His decision-making leaves a lot to be desired, which is something I reckon Rodgers could sort out. Very inconsistent and quite often sloppy with controlling the ball during a quick attack. Nevertheless, when he's confident and on form, he's a cracking player.

His wages are the issue though.

what makes you think rogers could sort him out when professor wenger couldn't manage?

I don't think he needs to. Walcott isn't Messi or Ronaldo but he scores and assists on a consistent level. Most pacy wide players get a lot of flak for their decision making but I think the nature of the role makes it particularly difficult. You have to judge by results and for me Walcott in the last two seasons has been producing them.
