For some reason that just sounds rude

seriously though Pepe was the stand out CB in the tournament albeit in a more defensive team.

Disagree. We finished 2nd because Hendo was out and Allen wasn't good enough to cover for him.

I do still want him to stay though.

I wonder how his team mates will take to him now after he celebrated some of them losing one of the most important games of their careers?

I know many will brush it off, but if a so called mate had celebrated something as important to me as that was to them, I wouldn't class them as a mate anymore (to put it mildly).

Joe Allen: Jurgen Klopp wants to resolve Liverpool midfielder's future

Manager Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool are eager to resolve the future of Wales midfielder Joe Allen.

Allen has a year left on his current contract and was named in Uefa's official Euro 2016 team of the tournament as Wales reached their first semi-final at a major competition.

Having started only eight Premier League games last season, the 26-year-old has yet to discuss a new deal.

"We will find a solution but it's not done," Klopp told BBC Radio 5 live.

"Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team.

"We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works."

Allen joined Liverpool from Swansea City for £15m in 2012.

The Reds rejected an enquiry from the Welsh club about re-signing their former player on loan in January, and it is understood the Swans are still interested in Allen.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                        Mine angry and defrauded young?

I hope not. I hope he signs a new deal with us.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We finished 2nd because Chelsea fluked a win at anfield and then the team conceded 3 late on against palace. Neither of those results rest solely on any one player.

There was a period around Christmas that year when Allen and Henderson bossed it in the centre with Lucas behind iirc.

I never said Allen pressed better than Henderson but pressing is a strength of both those players.

What I'm saying is that the next phase, is to be more direct, and Allen is more of a possession-based player, which is probably why Klopp is looking to sell.
Sorry mate, misunderstood your post. Still think though that one of the things allen has become better at is being more direct, making things happen rather than always side wards and backwards.
