Cool that Chelsea have got to go to Japan in December for the World Club thing. I think we can finish ahead of them this season.

I seriously hope Hazard flops at Chelsea.

Aguero missed a tap in from 6 yards out. Crazy.

Ramires should have been off then for a second yellow. Ref didn't fancy the stick.

Because it would spoil the 'entertainment'...

Then the players need to respect the ref and stop acting like cunts.

I agree with you completely but to be honest I'm amazed he even managed to send Ivanovic off.
It was the season opening showpiece after all and you know from most commentators or pundits that the rules are usually different in games like this, cup finals, major games between the top sides, the beginning of a game. Oh and towards the end of a game...

In fact I'm surprised that all of the commentators and pundits didn't agree with Townsend. I would of thought they would of used the line, 'why didn't the referee just use his common sense and give him a warning yellow, we don't want to spoil the game, the entertainment'!

The charity/community shield isnt a friendly anyway mate. Its classed as a proper match. Not that any fans think of it that way.

Micah Richards could be out for a month with an ankle injury, according to Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

The defender, 24, had the setback playing for Britain in the Olympics quarter-final against South Korea.

Mancini said: "We thought it was a small injury but instead he will be out for longer. He has a big problem maybe, and it may be one month out."
Goalkeeper Joe Hart is also a doubt for England's friendly with Italy on Wednesday with a back problem.

Hart missed Manchester City's 3-2 Community Shield win over Chelsea but Mancini added: "Joe had a problem yesterday with his back but I don't think it is serious."
Manchester City begin the defence of their Premier League title on Sunday against Southampton at Etihad Stadium.

Only saw a bit of the game, City's passing was excellent at times. I really hope they run away with the league this season, I still think United are their only genuine rivals.

Think you are right, City were excellent today, still waiting for players to return too.
