It's frustrating that it looks like we'll only get £1.75m for him, when a few years back Man Utd were selling players like him for £4-5m, it's a shame we can't get a bit more, as he's a good player at that level.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He's 24 though and he's got limited experience and limited talent. I'd say he's worth about £3m tops. I don't think £1.75m is that bad a deal, especially as he's meant to be on a good wage.

He'll probably be one of the better players in the Championship IMO £3m is still on the cheap side, £1.75m is a bargain.

Glad he got the move to Bolton instead of Blackburn and hope he does well.

Fans seemed to have taken to him which is good and no doubt they won't be moaning about him signing a contract that was put in front of him by the club.

I take it N'Gog is still there? Hope they get promoted.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I had forgotten all about him, according to Wikipedia he is still there, 8 goals in 33 games last season. Crazy to think that he was our only back up to Torres at his peak

I used to argue he was a better version of Sturridge.

Had high hopes after that Arsenal game and even when it didn't work out here I was convinced he'd do well at Bolton and get a move to a bigger club. He was linked to a few PL clubs in teh January window, but he must have had a bit of a stiker in the second half of teh season.

Ngog is still there - he was their first sub on at the weekend. Jermaine Beckford started ahead of him.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                    Deary me.

They should take Pacheco (if still here, ha ha).

                    And Assaidi.

                    F*ck it, have Downing too.

                        Bye Jay.

Your greatest achievement while at LFC was being so small that numerous funny gifs and pictures of you could be made. Not bad for 20k a week.

I'm sorry to see Jay go, he's not the very best but he's nowhere near as bad as a lot make out. He didn't get to play that often but when he did he always put a shift in and never complained once about getting not settled runs in the team. He'll do a good job there as he's already shown. Good luck to you Jay, hope you do well.

Well said. When he played alongside lucas he was much better. Always looking to keep the ball moving quickly. Suffered when he had to cover for the injured lucas, team was too wide open for him to cover on his own. I have more respect and admiration for spearing than Suarez.

You're really going out on a limb there.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
