    Tom Ince

Ince has 20 goals in 34 games for Blackpool, did we let him to too soon?

    #2
Yes. He could have easily slotted into the left or right positions in Rodgers' front three. I'm not saying he's the finished article, far from it, but he would have provided more competition than we've got now.

I wonder if we inserted a buy-back clause when we sold him? Probably not knowing us...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Yup, we could certainly have done with him even for just added squad depth.

Pretty sure he was asking for too high a wage, hence the reason he left. Clearly come on in leaps & bounds since leaving us and it was right for him to move on.

I fancy he'd have stayed had we been in a similar position this year, but there you go.

What is annoying is that we tend to get minimal fees from our youngsters. At the very least we should be adding sell on clauses.
        Forwards.......

How do you know there isn't a sell on clause?

If he stayed with us he wouldn't have played as many games, so it could be argued that he wouldn't have developed as well as he has. Unless he went out on loan of course.
          Oh I don't know.

            No.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

12 goals 11 Assists in 34 games, still impressive enough as 11 of those appearances were off the subs bench.

He hasn't. 34 starts, 11 sub appearances, 45 in total.

Still not bad, will be interesting to see if he can step up to PL level.

I see Eccleston went there too. We've been quite kind to then since they ****ed us about with Adam.

I don't know there's no sell on clause. Hopefully there is one and he goes for £10m

Adam for 8m and they got Ince
Konchesky 3m for LDV and Kanukick

both Ince and Kacaniklic look like real future stars, think both could have been kept reasonably easily as well.

He can't have done any worse than Downing.

Tom Ince is quality,he would have stood a chance of getting game time under rodgers, looks like a similar sort of winger to dyer or sinclair. pacey and quite tricky with a decent finish. big **** up letting him go!

Charlie Adam looked quite good when he played for Blackpool too.
                          Oh I don't know.

                            Charlie Adam £8m
                            Stewart Downing £20m

Tom Ince was already at the club £0m

So in theory we could have bought neither of the donkeys and we'd have been no worse off.

I remember him - led probably by his dad - being whored to Juventus.

It was all about the cash and the lad is performing well in the Championship, it's probably about his level.
