Everton and Newcastle are going nuts......and rightly so.

Good work from the linesman. Absolute disgrace from the ref to stop Newcastle surely scoring a certain goal.

3 on 1 and the referee pulls play back.

EDIT: And Ben Arfa was still on his feet, he hadn't even gone to ground.

He was right to. Not giving the goal was bad enough - letting Newcastle break and score would have compounded the damage.

Two wrongs and all that, but it's possible the ref suspected the ball crossed the line but he couldn't overrule his assistant.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Bloody hell, for all Evertons territorial play Newcastle could have had 7 or 8 here.

Thats 2 Everton should have had as Fellani was well onside earlier when he scored.

Yeah but Everton definitely should have three.

Which one? Maybe the player near the post obscured his sight of the ball crossing the line. But there's no excuse for getting the offside wrong.
