Matts right he's uninsurable because of his knees. Its reported he wants 80k per week too so in my eyes its a big call. We're on the verge of getting sturridge and possibly once.

BA doesn't fit the profile imo.

        once.

Shame he's only half the player of twice, but it's the best we can hope for in the circumstances.
        Oh I don't know.

Ba isn't bargain he appears: £7.5m fee + agent fees + 80k weekly + 4yr deal (what he has asked from #Nufc) & unlikely to pass medical.

              If you say so.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

It's certainly better value for money than Torres.

80k p/w is pretty much the going rate for goalscoring strikers anyway. It's not extortionate, comparatively speaking.
                Oh I don't know.

But his knee is a ticking timebomb. Could go at anytime. And as he can't be insured, his transfer fee, agents fees and wages could in all possibility, have to be paid up in full for what could turn out to be just one appearance.

A four year deal at £80k a week is a hell of a mill around the neck.
                  Forwards.......

You just know if we invested a load of money in Ba that he'd sign for us and his knee would pop immediately.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                      A £25m risk then.

He's been pretty solid at Newcastle - both goal scoring and injury-free wise ... and Chelsea have form when it comes to throwing cash at injured and or ****e players - look no further than Winston Bogarde and Paulo Ferreira.

Who'd have thunk it - Абрамо́вич may have finally found something that can't be solved by throwing money at it.

The difference is Chelsea can afford the issues if his knee goes, we really can't. But even they seem to think it is not worth the risk.

                            Mail:
BA:However, barring Chelsea, no other interested party has yet to match Ba’s buyout, £2m of which will go to the 27-year-old striker in the form of a loyalty bonus
In addition, Ba’s collection of agents are in line to bank around £2m from any deal, an amount which will need to be covered by the purchasing club.

                            Telegraph:
Pardew and his club can do little about the situation, but the manager is growing increasingly weary of it.
He said: "In some respects, I feel a little bit sorry for Demba as well because I think people who are representing him are not actually representing him.
