They have 3 games in hand but in order to get out of the relegation zone they need to win all 3 of those. Not happening.
A shame because I like Poyet, Soljskaer on the other hand is a manc so I'll be glad to see him gone and Felix Magath is the first PL manager who genuinely makes my skin crawl just looking at him, can't stand the creep.

                    That's a horrendous run-in.

                    How's Solskjaer's results compare with Mackay's?
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Because I like you, PC Plod and you're a good egg:

                      Cardiff under Malky Mackay

                      Played: 18
                      Won: 4
                      Drawn: 5
                      Lost: 9
                      Goals for: 14
                      Goals against: 28
                      Points: 17

Points per game for Malky: 0.94
Points per game for Ole: 0.61

Sunderland's run-in is pretty tough too. And they're the team that need to put points on the board:

                        Tottenham (A)
                        Everton (H)
                        Man City (A)
                        Chelsea (A)
                        Cardiff (H)
                        Man Utd (A)
                        West Brom (H)
                        Swansea (H)

I hope Sunderland go down as the PL didn't deduct points for fielding a player they shouldn't have played

                            A good point, Boogar.

If that had been a team from the Championship or lower, points would have been deducted.

                            EDIT:

So the Premier League decided to use their rulebook and ignore the FA rule book, ignoring this one:

                            6.9 Playing an ineligible player

Any club found to have played an ineligible player in a match shall have any points gained from that match* deducted from its record and have levied upon it a fine.

                            * Which is one point.

It will be interesting to see if they stay up by the one point because if they do, the other team relegated will surely be appealing.

It's not quite as manic as we initially thought; to make it worthy of a call out and double time, I just have to see these things through! I'm hoping to get away before 1100 and then I can get set for our game.
