      I'm well and truly rooting for Swansea on this one.

      If Chelsea won tonight... and then beat Bradford in the final... but also finished in a European place in the league, would Bradford even be allowed to compete in the Europa League? I thought that wasn't allowed with them not being top flight.

        No, the place goes to the league. They could compete in it. Cardiff did it the other year. Its only the Stadium that's the issue, and they are fine.

          I thought losing finalists got an EL place if the winners qualified through the league.

              No, that only applies in the FA Cup, not the League Cup.

                Aahhh good good... in that case it *might* be better from a Liverpool point of view if Chelsea win so there's an extra Europa League place up for grabs in the league.
