Yes, he's a professional, but his side need two goals and the kid is taking the piss; I think we've all done it - I know I have - and in the heat of the moment, so has Hazard. If he'd lashed out harder or just kicked the lad, then fair enough, but he's gone to prod the ball from underneath him.
He would have little chance of appealing a red card if he had been sent off if it had been an opposition player and he shoved him to the floor.

Kicking at the ball when the kid is lying on it and you have helped wrestle the kid to the floor can't be had.

The kid was a bit oikish yeah, but its for his club to give him a ticking off and the ref to take action to add time on.

            Stupid from Hazard though.
            Agreed.

I'm basing my experience on Sunday League, I suppose Hazard should know better. Frustration I guess.

Apparently the ball boy tweeted before the game he was on duty tonight, said they wanted an experienced ball boy, and hash tagged it #Timewasting.

Reminds me of that game where Kuyt scored the penalty in the 9th minute of stoppage time or something crazy like that

Hoddle laying into the ball boys is hilarious. Sky Sports has descended into full on parody.

DBF has called for Hazard to receive a substantial ban. The ball boy could have been killed!

It looks like he kicked the ball to me.

But yeah, you're right about the age thing.

I dunno, my head is spinning from:

1/ What I'd feel in that situation.
2/ What I'd feel if that was an LFC player.
                                3/ What is socially acceptable.
4/ What *real* mischief was caused.
5/ It's Chelsea, innit ... so yeah, moral high ground here I come.
