Alan Pardew signs eight-year Newcastle contract extension.......................

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2020.

Pardew originally signed a five-and-a-half-year deal when he succeeded Chris Hughton in December 2010.

However, the 51-year-old has been rewarded for guiding Newcastle to fifth place in last season's Premier League and a spot in the Europa League.

Coaches John Carver, Steve Stone and Andy Woodman have also been given new eight-year contracts.

In June, chief scout Graham Carr was given a contract to keep him at the club until 2020, when he will be 75.

Or could be that Alan Carr has said himself that he knows **** all about football and hated playing it when younger even when his dad was/is a coach at Northampton(I think)

I dunno but I was thinking of different angles? What's funny about being successful and having a gay son? Just because you might not like it doesn't mean everyone doesn't like it ya grump

Tbh I find it a little bit strange myself.. When you think of Alan Carr one of the last things I'd associate with him is football as he's said himself. Yet his dad has been successful in a worldwide popular sport and he's grew up round it all his life.

It's not like his dad's a plumber and he didn't fancy it.

Well it's obviously because he's a big mincer and big mincers families have got issues and therefore having a big mincers dad being successful in a big manly man's game is totally hilarious.
I have no issues with homosexuality or their families being involved in football or that posters would find this funny Thankyou

I think it's funny because I'm a fan of Alan Carr and never knew until recently that his dad was Newcastle scout. Burn me for finding it funny but yes a part of that is to do with Alan's complete apathy towards the game due to it being a little bit butch. His words, not mine.
