    MOTM Robinson's relegation battle

Jack Robinson today insisted Wolves can fight off relegation and remain in the Championship after the on-loan England U21 international produced a man of the match display in Tuesday night's vital 1-0 win over promotion favourites Hull City.

With three games remaining the Black Country outfit are just one point off the drop zone and the Liverpool defender is calling on his teammates to produce every ounce of effort and fight right until the end of the season.

"We showed a massive amount of character," said Robinson.

"The way the lads played was excellent - we knew we had to find something extra after we lost on Saturday.

"The performance showed our passion and shows how much we care.

"We worked really hard as a back line to keep them out, but it wasn't just us, it was the whole team.

"The front players worked hard to stop their attacks at source, and that work-rate spread through the whole team. We got our rewards with a fantastic result."

Former Kop No.7 Dean Saunders is in charge at Molineux and Robinson praised his manager's tactics on Tuesday night.

He added: "We needed the three points more than ever, so we had a different game-plan. We tried to pass the ball and keep it better and that's what we did, and that's what got us the points.

"We have just got to take our confidence into the next game now. Hopefully, we will get another three points on Saturday at Charlton, although we know it will be tough.

"Hopefully, we can use this as a springboard for another good run and get ourselves safe.

"On a personal level, it was great to get man of the match."

A Wolves ST holder that I know tells me that Robinson has been outstanding since he's been there. Said he's top class, and would be amazed if he's not in our first team on a regular basis in the next season or two.

        Good stuff

I read he started off a bit dodgy but it seems like he has started to turn in some decent performances.

          Robinson joins Blackpool on loan

Liverpool Football Club today confirmed that defender Jack Robinson has joined Championship side Blackpool on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old will spend the duration of 2013-14 with the Tangerines, who are currently managed by former Reds midfielder Paul Ince.

Since making a senior debut against Hull City in May 2010, becoming the club's youngest ever player at that time, Robinson has played a total of 11 matches for the Liverpool first team.

The left-back spent the second half of the 2012-13 campaign on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers and travelled to the European U21 Championship with England earlier this summer.

            Good move.

Gets him playing and he can come back next year with a full season under his belt.

Good luck, hopefully he comes back ready for the PL.

We must be pretty confident of another LB coming in then.

I know a few Wolves fans and they were all impressed with him last year. He's a good prospect but not ready for the first team yet. Another season on loan is best all round.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just read that he missed an open goal right at the end

Probably did, and quicker than you could say his name too.

Just saw his chance on TV. Not really an open goal but a vital moment in the area that required a bit of quality and composure.
                              One tit for another.
