The standard of refereeing in this country

Getting beyond a joke now it really is, I didn't see the Evans/Torres incident but that was apparently a bad sending off and yet another shambolic performance from the officials have cost us today.

It seems there are incidents costing teams dearly every single week, just not good enough. Not sure of what can or should be done anyone got any thoughts?

    They are very consistent though!

They are fine giving United the big decisions time after time.. Last decision I remember going for us was Rodwell's sending off.

I think Fergie and Mr Gill are very happy at the moment, So when the head of the FA and the most powerful manager don't have a problem.....there is no problem.

I accept that bad decisions will be made but you get the feeling the money men in the game prefer it this way to maintain the 'drama', the soap opera aspect. I also can't accept that we are continually on the wrong end of big decisions, and moreover that the Mancs are so routinely profiting from bad 'decisions'.

the theory is " Bad decisions even themselves out over the season" If that was even remotely true I would be happy.

I even accept the bigger teams do get more decisions, but this bias for Scum has gone way, way to far now.

Everytime a new fact comes up from one of these stat fellas and twitters it becomes more laughable.

The first scum game this Ref has done since the 6-1, And look what happens. I am refusing to believe this is co-incidence, just to many for my liking

As I said in another thread, I can't recall Arsenal, Chelsea or City getting the consistently favourable decisions when they've been winning leagues recently in even remotely the same way as United have been for ages now. And its not even at OT, this season every crucial decision that could have gone there way in the game against us, and now the Chelsea game, went for them. Its just gotten absurd now.

It utterly amazing the number of decisions that go their way, as you've said it's not just against us it happens but so far this season consistently game after game they get the rub of the green, it happens too often to be law of averages.

For me refs need to be held accountable for their actions as its ruining the game IMO, as Shaggy said this probably flows back to the money men for drama

I also don't like how senior members of clubs can be at the top of the FA regardless of the club it just shouldn't be allowed to happen.

Wasn't turning them professional meant to reduce these 'mistakes'?

It seems since this point they've got miles worse.

The Refs are so ****ing protected it's unreal.

They can make **** calls all season long and they never get called up on it.

                    Just the seen Arsenal goal.

"there was a case for it [being offside]"

A case? There was enough ****ing evidence to fill a shipping container

They're only human, they'll make mistakes.

I ****ing hate that sentence. They make mistakes, mostly minor in the every game that is played every bloody week, and at least one major mistake is made per weekend.

If I made as many mistakes in my job I'd be sacked or dead by now. Nowhere in professional life is such incompetence tolerated and excused as it for these lads. A multi million pound industry, you reckon they'd be interested in ensuring its run well.

They do make mistakes. But only when they decide to.

Why the **** won't anyone on BBC or sports writers for newspaper question the sheer ****ing number of games that decisions go in utds favour. Instead they comment on the actual game in question. They never ever link the previous 50,000 dubious decisions that go in their favour. They don't mind showing clips of Suarez diving.

If all fans of others teams got together and united to expose united and their ****ing cheating we could bring the game to its knees. I'd rather there was no professional football than this current charade. **** football.

Surely it's time to introduce video technology, it's used in pretty much every other top level sport, why does FIFA think football should be an exception?

If could be used in a similar fashion to Tennis where each team is given a number of times they can go to video appeal, and with so much tech available not much time would be wasted.
                            We come not to play.
