In football terms Whelan is not shady it is a minor miracle they are still in the league given the resources they have and the football they play. If they go down then it won't be a Pompey or Blackburn situation thats for sure.Originally posted by Lee View Post
Well Warnock has gone now and if they got promoted back to the PL then they'd have more money to buy better players and play better footy.
Leeds are a massive club. Not to everyone's taste of course, but they bring a lot more to the game than a **** club like Wigan.
And as for shady you're waving a Dave Whelan banner above your swede.
Now talk to me about Ken Bates

Oh I agree, they've sold plenty every season and stayed up. Then again that's because they only realise that the season has started when it gets to March.Originally posted by Chazza View PostIn football terms Whelan is not shady it is a minor miracle they are still in the league given the resources they have and the football they play. No wonder they won't end up in trouble when Whelan sells £20m of players every years and replaces them with £5m worth of signings.
Yeah Ken Bates
I'll give you that one.
They're still a **** club with **** fans and **** music. Should stick to their rugby.

The only way for them to survive with the **** crowds is by selling high and buying low which they have done successfully.

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Whereas if Leeds came back they'd be able to survive because they have the fanbase. And history.

They can't sell out their stadium.
They don't turn up until March slash April when they avoid relegation by a pube width.
Dave Whelan.
Their inbred fans.
And so on and so forth.
