    Ferguson is right

Why the **** are the refs meeting with Mourinho?

Sir Alex Ferguson claims it is 'ludicrous' that referees' chief Keith Hackett is meeting Jose Mourinho.

Hackett is due to meet with the Chelsea manager to discuss the fall-out from Graham Poll's performance in the champions' 2-1 defeat at Tottenham last weekend.

Mourinho had requested a meeting after complaining about several of Poll's decisions, including a Didier Drogba goal being disallowed and John Terry's sending off.

But Mourinho's Old Trafford counterpart Ferguson is not happy that The Blues appear to be receiving preferential treatment.

He has questioned why Hackett has decided to meet the Portuguese and feels other Premiership bosses would not be treated the same way.

"Now Hackett is meeting Jose Mourinho - Jesus, goodness me, what's going on in this world?" Ferguson told Sky Sports News.

"Does he ever go to meet Arsene Wenger, Rafa Benitez or this old guy here?

"Is there a preference going out to Chelsea because they had a bad decision against them?

"It seems to be absolutely ludicrous that."
"The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."

To be honest though I think that the Referees chief should be in constant dialog with all of the PL managers. There needs to be much more dialog between those who play the game and those that enforce the rules.

It is however shocking that the chief referee feels the need to work with Chelsea above other teams if that is indeed what is happening.

If Hackett is to liase with clubs in the PL then he should meet with all the managers at once. Why should the Chavs be so special that they get private meetings with the head of referees? Ferguson is right and I agree with him.

If the meeting does take place then Keith Hackett should step down as there must be some questions regarding his integrity.

According to 5Live he visits all the clubs and they did have an all managers meeting at the beginning of the season. Looks like Fergie is playing games here I'm afraid.

To make sure the alleged comments by Terry are kept quiet perhaps??

You missed the words "a" and "****" either side of the word "right" in the thread title.

Weren't Juventus, Milan and a couple of other Italian Serie A sides "working" with the referees?

Here's hoping Chelscum get the same outcome.

it was revealed that there was a meeting between managers and Hackett at the start of the season. Some managers never turned up (Fergie, Benitez, Wenger being three)
