Those City scouts had zero impact at city IMO as its not hard to scout Yaya Toure, Augero and co.

I doubt it, they are not just out for big name players, they also sign young players as well as looking for players to fit their system.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostCome on being a scout for Manchester city must have been the easiest job in football over the past few years.

Or you could argue harder as they have the money for anyone so opens up even more options. Still got to have the right work ethic, life off the pitch, fit in to the team etc. If it was all so easy there wouldn't be Carroll's, Torres, Shevchenko's etc.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostCome on being a scout for Manchester city must have been the easiest job in football over the past few years.

You hate Torres that much you didn't pluralise him!Originally posted by Chris View PostOr you could argue harder as they have the money for anyone so opens up even more options. I agree though, Scouting for City will still be a difficult job, the only difference is they have a lot more money to spend. And judging by Javi Garcia, Rodwell and Sinclair they're doing a very average job.The times they are a changin'.

Cost £35 million between them though. (Yes I know, Carroll
)
*better* scouts (Like the ones at Newcastle and by the looks of it Swansea) would find them good quality back up players for cheaper.
Just because they have the money doesn't man they have to spend it.The times they are a changin'.

It now appears that the 26-year-old is on his way to Newcastle after an offer, reportedly in the region of €10million (£8.3m), was accepted by Marseille.
"We have an agreement with Newcastle for the transfer of Remy," Labrune is quoted by RMC. "Loic can negotiate with them."
Sky Sports understands Remy has been given permission to leave the team hotel where Marseille are staying ahead of Sunday evening's Ligue 1 game against Sochaux.

City will always have to pay a premium too, so that will cause some distortion to the cost too.
