Ridiculous figure but if you ignore his blatant thuggery he's a class player - plus Everton paid £15m for him and he has 4 years left on his contract so they'll be wanting BIG money.

        Insane isn't it.

Keep in mind that, before this season, he was average. He's only been consistent this season since he got a push further forward but him playing for a top Champion's League side? Nah.

I don't agree. I think he could definitely play for a top CL side.

Absolutely quality player, 30 million in todays market sounds about right. And no doubts he will be snapped up by one of the big sides.

Sky Sports understands that Loic Remy would be keen on a move to Newcastle in January.link

The 25-year-old has emerged as a realistic option for Newcastle in the New Year, as the long-term future of Demba Ba remains unclear.

Ba's current deal means an offer of £7.5million would be enough to take him from Newcastle.

The Magpies hope Ba will sign a new deal, but they are understood to be making plans should he leave and one of those is Remy - who has previously interested Tottenham and QPR.

Newcastle already have a strong French contingent and that is believed to appeal to Remy - who is keen to try his hand in England.

"They are a very good team," Remy told Sky Sports when asked about Newcastle.

"They are a big club with good players, very good fans and a nice stadium that is always full."

Reports claim that Newcastle are already in talks with Marseille over a deal - but Remy insists he knows nothing about that.

He said: "The window opens in January, and there will be speculation from now until the window closes - if I have to leave then all parties must be happy.

"I have a contract so let's wait and see what happens."

They dropped the arse out of the odds for Llorente to join us earlier.

                    From the Times

Queens Park Rangers have stolen a march on trying to sign Loïc Rémy after the France forward held talks with the West London club’s officials this week.
Rémy, who flew to London on Tuesday, has become available at a knockdown price, and possibly on loan, after he fell out with Marseilles, where he has made only two league starts this season and made 12 substitute appearances, scoring once. QPR face competition from West Ham United and Newcastle United for Rémy, who scored 12 goals in 29 league games last season.

They'll pay silly wages and give him a chance to prove himself in the PL and perhaps earn a move to a bigger/better club?

Remy is a wide forward who would suit us. I'd be interested in him at the right price. But I'd look a bit more into why Marseilles are dumping him.
                          Forwards.......

We've supposedly looking at Remy anyway.

Unless it was on loan as suggested which would limit it to the PL. If he did well he'd be fine either way. I think Newcastle will be fine drop wise. I have to say I hope Redknapp sees QPR go down though.
