Yeah but I guess we're not that desperate for Ince now we've got Sturridge.
    Are we winning?

Another tedious LFC transfer saga is underway. Said it the other day, Blackpool have the power play here. Their looking out for their best interests and trying to maximise profits which is fair enough i suppose, every club tries to do it.

With Sturridge in and sorted so quickly, it would have been nice to get all our business done and dusted early, but sure it wouldn't be right in the world if LFC didn't have yet a transfer saga that dragged throughout the window.

IMO if Blackpool keep ****ing about just cut ties and go for other options.

Is it though? I mean, it looks like it. But is that only because we spend time on here, endlessly discussing everything, trying to get every peice of information possible?

I think thats more like it, because every transfer seems to be long and drawn out. Even Sturridge had its 'twists and turns' with things people were getting off twitter.
        *Except Michael, who died.

Not sure if this was posted already, apologies if it has:

Paul Ince believes his son Thomas should reject a return to Liverpool in order to maintain first-team football at Blackpool.

Brendan Rodgers' side are close to securing a deal for the 20-year-old but the former England international believes his son would benefit from staying at Bloomfield Road.

"There's been a lot of press saying he's going to Liverpool. I've not at one time said he's going to Liverpool," the 45-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"Thomas has at not one time said he wants to leave Blackpool Football Club. I just feel that he's ready for the Premiership, whether that means he's going to go in January or that means he's going to go at the end of the season or the season after, who knows?

"I think he's ready to go and play in the Premiership, but there's no point in Thomas going to a Premiership club and not playing football, because that will just stunt his development.

"Where he goes, he has to have the chance to be involved and getting game time.

"If you said Liverpool, or Man United or Barcelona, there's no point in him going to those clubs if he's not playing football.

"For me, he might as well stay at Blackpool and keep playing week in and week out."

true enough, comes across as tedious though.

...this seems quite clear cut though.

Blackpool want £6m net (irrelevant of who buys)
We offered them £4m as a one-off 'take it or leave it' deal

If neither side backs down, this isn't going anywhere anytime soon...

                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

You don't treat your son like that.

Oyston is a very tough negotiator but he is not a madman.

He wouldn't let Ince go on free in summer (they are not a club that can afford to **** up 4m net in sales) and pass on our interest (we appear to be only club presently interested in his services) unless Blackpool does have an option to extend his contract in the summer for one more year.

I hope we have bothered to scout more players than ince so if we decide to **** blackpool off we have another option lined up.

Maybe it's why we seem to be the only club talking to them about Ince, because the price is way too high without taking off the 35%, which other clubs can't do, so if we do it, really we'll be handing the 35% back for nothing, because no other club was going to pay that asking price ?
Whether its Liverpool, Man City, Mansfield or Yeovil, 35% of x million will be given to us, so there should be no way on earth that they can demand that we pay 35% more.

If we don't get him, I hope he goes for a high price in the summer and at least we might get a couple of mill.

if x = 0 then 35% of x is **** all, mutiplied by the square root of y minus the 35% we could have had if we didnt spunk the money on chad
