If Oyston wasn't such a Bellend, I would have liked to see us buy him for 8m then lent back to Blackpool till the end of season at least.

The only way we will end up in a better situation is that he is absolute adamant he is coming to us and who knows a deal like that may have been struck personally between Blackpool and Ince.

At a guess - he doesn't want to piss off the club and fans that have backed him so well.

Exactly what I wanted... but not at that price... I said we should have offered the £6M, ie, the price we'll offer in the summer and let them have him until July 1st. We get a player we want, they get to keep him for the rest of their campaign and have plenty of time to scout and recruit a replacement.

I think Oyston, whether misguided or not, believes he's worth a fair bit more than £6m. Recent performances would suggest he's right, escpecially when considering the value put on Zaha recently. We should've offered £8m less our commission and tried to tempt them to sell. We were never going to get anywhere by playing hardball.

        He's still a cunt though, that's undisputed.

i dont think any would doubt that ince would offer us a better option than downing, even given his rise in form and as ince is still a young lad he should only get better.

given the choice of ince or downing then surely we should go for ince. even if we feel like we are being done over by oyston so what. we will sell downing and recover the money, have added a better player who will be on half the wages, and have a young lad who will add more to the team for many years to come.

just get it sorted or watch someone else get him for 8-10m and he will be great for them, and always score against us. you just know it...

Ince left to play more football but if he re-signs for us, then will he go back into the team or be a squadie?

In a 4-3-3, the front 3 options Brendy will have (assuming we don't get anyone else) would be:

              Suarez
              Sturridge
              Coutinho
              Sterling
              Suso
              Downing
              Ince

plus the likes of Yesil coming through soon as well....

Now i think there will be enough games to go round and we need squad strenght in depth, but i reckon the front 3 of Suarez, Sturridge and maybe Coutinho will pick itself (especially if Phillippe kicks on and does well) Sterling will also get stronger and stronger in terms of being able to play more......

We would have a great exciting team of young players that are only going to get better and better but i would be concerned that Ince might get cheesed off if he wasn't playing more than, say 30 games per season...

                4-2-3-1

                ---------- sturridge -----------

                ince ----- suarez ------- coutinho

                ---- gerrard ----- lucas ------

                --------- back four --------

                ----------- GK --------------

ince and coutinho can swap flanks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Downing shipped out in the summer (despite his upturn in form) and Suso loaned out for the season next year. That would get the list down to a more managable size where everyone could get a decent amount of games and some rest: Suarez, Sturridge, Borini, Sterling, Coutinho, and Ince if we sign him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Downing's off - he's improved in some games but still goes missing when it really counts. Ince, like Sterling, doesn't look the kind of person to be put off whether he's marked by some third-rate no mark or a full on class international. Downing ****s his pants and turns the other way when confronted with a decent defender, he's just not good enough.
