then fair do's but id like to see us make a firm effort to sign up walcott before we consider ince

obviously we'll never really know with deals being done behind closed doors but the rumour mill is in overdrive with only ince and sturridge being mentioned and there be no smoke without fire.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

That's the thing with Walcott - he'll have a number of options. City alone will pay him more cash and guarantee him CL football next year. We'll most likely offer a competitive wage (and Europe this season ) but if that's a primary motivation we've no chance. Walcott is a red (apparently) so that might help, but I think BR and FSG will look to Ince as they will see him as better value.

Re Bob's if Suarez had scored more last season arguement maybe, just maybe that our current manager is getting more out of Suarez because he's tactically better.
Maybe the team is set up better, maybe just maybe Rodgers deserves credit for the things that are improving not just a blanket he's not Kenny so let's slag him off rant.

Re Ince I'm not convinced but then anyone who says they are is lying. He could turn out to be a great buy and we obviously rate him by bringing him through the agegroups and offering him a deal which he turned down.

But if in 2-3 years time he hasn't worked out as well as we hope he'll be 22/23, an Eng U21 international and will still command £5m plus in the transfer market.

It's another shrewd 'no lose' FSG type of deal.

          Absolutely.

It's one thing to play Luis though the middle, it's something completely different to do what Rodgers has done and tune/direct the team to get the best out of him. Nobody can deny that Rodgers is getting the best out of Suarez.

I don't buy that. Suarez still misses loads its just at the present time his hit ratio is higher. I think he was actually getting more chances last season. I'm not slagging Rodgers.

I think the Patrice Evra media storm definitely affected him last season.

I know Tom Ince seems to be in demand, is apparently well thought of, strong links with us, but if money is in short supply, should we be spending up to 6mill of it on such a player, will he improve us now ?

Does he have any real pace ? Just seems a tad sluggish when i've taken time to watch him of late, although tbf the pitches were in a bit of state and boggy, so that won't help.

Ok, thanks, that's a decent assett to have.

So a player people would be happy to sign then ?

Suppose a lot depends on other stuff, as to whether he's a player we should sign now, who stays who go's, how much money fsg give BR, etc etc.

I don't have a problem with signing Ince, he looks decent enough and would take some pressure of Sterling and allow him to be rested.

                              True enough.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
