Possibly, possibly not.Originally posted by Alex View PostWe dont really need him anymore do we?
I'd rather us have plenty of options though than a thin squad like we did at the start of the season. There's always a risk of Ince going to another PL team too and doing well.
Then again he could move and flop I suppose.
For a reasonable price (£4-6m) then I think he's probably worth a punt.
I dislike Oyston and the way he seems to go about his business (not answering calls
) but Ince is key to Blackpool's promotion push so it's no wonder he doesn't want him to go.

I edited my post with just that in mind, he needs to be more decisive, just as he was when he wanted to leave lfc, if he now want's to come back? Then tell that tit Oysten! to stop ****ing about, just as we didn't **** about when we let him go.

He has a sellable asset so he is going to play hardball
Can't imagine Ayre ignoring calls if someone was interested in some of our guff like Downing!

You are right. But it was more a case of asking do we really need him because of the glaring deficiencies in the rest of the squad now. We have reinforced the front line. But now we clearly need a back up DM a First team LB and a back up CB. The defensive side of the club is the weaker part now. Which seems like a total 180 from a month ago.Originally posted by Lee View PostPossibly, possibly not.

I dunno though. Nobody here knows how much FSG have to spend. They've backed us so far and they're not shy at spending a couple of bob so just because we get Ince (if we get Ince), then I don't think that means we can't strengthen elsewhere.
Not saying they've got a bottomless pit, but I'm pretty sure that if the right player came along for a decent price then they'd stump up the wedge.
All guesswork, of course.

Doesn't make sense to sign him this window if his contract runs out in the summer.Originally posted by Sarb View PostWill Watt (some Journo) says we are expected to make one more bid before tomorrow night but unless it's a huge offer then it will get rejected. Think Ince can be crossed off this windowAre we winning?

No, suppose your right. It does seem to be about getting the right man in now, rather than someone who could do a job.
I think we have been backed quite well this window. Providing Coutinho comes in thats around £20m spent with Cole and Sahin getting off the wage book.
We look stronger than September 1st, and with Ince in it can only provide a better option.
I suppose Rodgers is going for the 'Score one more than them' philosophy. Which I quite like, as it makes teams more fun to watch.*Except Michael, who died.
