Come on, man, you're not comparing like with like. If Sturridge had a £7m get out clause we wouldn't be paying £12m.

If Ba goes to Chelsea for that much it's because he can, not because that's his comparable value.

Why aren't we after Ba for £7m too? Time and time again we're making mistake after mistake in the transfer market, this club is its own worst enemy.

What makes you think we weren't after him? Perhaps he wasn't interested in us. I think it's totally believable he'd choose Chelsea over us. I suppose you think the club should come out and say who we've failed to sign because that would really go down well.

Of course then we wouldn't know whether the club are just saying that to make it look they're trying even though it would be pretty demeaning.

In short, you can't assume we wouldn't have been interested just because we haven't signed him.

How do you know we weren`t? Maybe we got told he wasn`t interested in signing for us, espesially when a team like Chelsea showed interest. When Ba told is agent he wants to leave everybody Bas interested in joining will be told.
