I remember that Sahin was apparently 100% joining Arsenal...

RT @bbcsport_simon: What we know is #sneijder is keen on #lfc. Club also interested if he drops wage demands (he's on 90k a week or £6m a year after tax).
If this guy from the BBC is right, at 40% tax we'd have to pay him £150k a week to match his current wage, but he's willing to take a pay cut...the question is how much?

I can't see how we could pay him more than Suarez...how much is Luis on?

If he was paid the same that's 60k a week at 40%...I'm sure I saw on the news that the top end tax rate is dropping from 50% back to 40%...some bankers were going to delay getting their bonus to take advantage...has anyone else seen that?

Seems to be some currency confusion on twitter....he's on €90k a week after tax. £100k = €119k which would mean we're not as far off his current wage as I first thought...

                        Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

                        Two ways of interpreting that.

                        1. We really might be in for him.

                        2. His agent is simply using our name as a ploy in the stand off between Inter and himself.

The 50p rate falls to 45p in April.

Moratti told inter.it: 'I met Sneijder. I wanted to have a chat with him, I thought we needed to.
'Have we made peace? I don't think there was ever a war in the first place, and certainly not with me personally.
'Is he close to a move to Galatasaray? Yes, I think so.'

........still think if we offer the right deal he would come to the PL

If we've learned one thing from all this, it's that nobody on twitter has any idea what he earns at inter.

Several new figures bandied about daily.

I fail to see how we are close. If as you said he's on 90k after tax then just like you said in your initial post we would need to offer him 150k. That is not going to happen.
